Definitions

Authorised User means an individual or organisation authorised by use by the issue of a user name and password to access information or data about the organisation their permissions allow access to.

You and Your means the user of the AISI portal located https://portal.aisi.gov.au

Site means the AISI portal.

Our, Us and We means CERT Australia.

Power User means a person or organisation who is authorised by CERT Australia to view all data held on the Australian Internet Security Initiative under the level of permissions set.

CERT Australia means the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) Australia, including its employees and contractors

The Commonwealth means the Commonwealth of Australia.

This site is managed by CERT Australia. We consider the Terms of use to be important because they protect Your rights.

In entering and using this Site, You are taken to have accepted the Terms of use on and from the date on which you first use this Site. You must comply with the Terms of use when using this Site.

On this page we outline the following:

Portal Access

This Site is predominantly for use by authorised users who are registered with CERT Australia. The majority of the pages on the site are only accessible by authorised users (‘restricted pages’). Publicly accessible pages contain general information which is also available on www.cert.gov.au

Registration and provision of access to restricted pages will be at the sole discretion of CERT Australia. If You wish to become an authorised user, please contact CERT Australia via the ‘Contact Us’ link

An authorised organisation may have a number of authorised users who will all be issued with their own unique username and password.

Users will be required to provide a valid email address issued by the approved organisation, which is used to confirm the validity of the registration, as well as to enable the provision of new passwords where necessary. Generic or personal email addresses will not be accepted for registration purposes.

The approved organisation is responsible for notifying CERT Australia whenever an authorised user leaves their organisation or will be on extended absence (more than three months). CERT Australia will cancel the authorised users’ access to the Site from the date of notification.

If You are granted access, You will be provided with a unique username and password. Only You are authorised to use Your username and password. You must ensure that Your username and password are kept secure at all times and you must not disclose it or allow another person to use it. If You forget your username or password, please contact CERT Australia by email to info@cert.gov.au

Acceptable Use Policy

If You are not an authorised user, You can only view the publicly available information on this Site.

When accessing this Site, unless You have been authorised as a power user, you are only authorised to access information that is relevant to Your own approved organisation.

Whilst extensive safeguards have been built into the Site, if You are at any stage able to access information not relevant to Your organisation, You must immediately stop using the Site and contact CERT Australia.

The names of most approved organisations are listed on the AISI website, however, some organisations have joined on the proviso that their identities are not revealed. You must not do anything to identify approved organisations whose names are not publicly listed. If you would like access to the name of an approved organisation not publicly listed, you must contact CERT Australia. If you are aware that a name has been disclosed, please contact CERT Australia immediately.

Restriction Or Termination Of Access

If You do not comply with the Terms of use, CERT Australia may, without prior notice:
  • restrict, suspend or terminate Your access to all or any part of this Site, either as an individual or as an organisation; or
  • change Your level of access to this Site.

Variation Of Terms Of Use

CERT Australia may change the Terms of use from time to time without notice. By entering and using this Site, You are agreeing to comply with the Terms of use (as amended from time to time) on and from the date on which you first use this Site.

The current version of the Terms of use will always be freely accessible on this Site.

Feedback

Feedback on this Site from authorised organisations or users including suggestions for changes or improvements is always welcome and considered. Please send any feedback via the ‘Contact Us’ link in the portal.

When providing feedback, We ask that You include your name, organisation, and contact telephone number or email address, to allow Us to contact You if required.
